Transparency

Members deserve a union that tells them the truth and shows them the numbers.

What we commit to

  1. Contracts delivered and posted on time. The 2021–2026 agreement reached members only after it expired on April 1, 2026, and some still have not received it.
  2. Quarterly financial reports to members, and the Local 1070 Constitution made publicly available.
  3. Honest, regular updates on the status of negotiations, not silence.
  4. Plain-language explanations of the benefits members can’t decode, starting with the sick/medical leave bank: who qualifies, and how decisions are made.
  5. A member living-conditions survey, with the results brought to leadership, management, and the press.
